NAMD (Nanoscale Molecular Dynamics) is parallel molecular dynamics software designed to provide high-performance simulations of large biomolecular systems. It is based on Charm++ parallel objects and it uses the molecular graphics program i.e., VMD (visual molecular dynamics) for simulation setup and trajectory analysis. It is also file-compatible with AMBER, CHARMM and X-PLOR. It was formerly known as formerly Not Another Molecular Dynamics Program.
Looking at NAMD customers by industry, we find that Higher Education (70%) and Hospital & Health Care (5%) are the largest segments.
77% of NAMD customers are in United States and 5% are in India.
Of all the customers that are using NAMD, a majority (81%) are large (>1000 employees), 0% are small (<50 employees) and 9% are medium-sized.
